Using the Extension

Once installed, the LaunchFast Chrome Extension automatically analyzes Amazon search results and displays actionable market intelligence.

How the Extension Works

When you search for a product on Amazon, the extension automatically enriches your results with market intelligence:

  1. Instant insights — Product cards display pricing, ratings, and review counts as soon as the page loads
  2. Progressive data loading — Sales estimates, profit margins, keyword trends, and supplier information populate over the next 1–2 minutes
  3. Market overview — A summary card shows market-wide averages for quick opportunity assessment
  4. Inline overlays — Seller Info and Sales Info cards appear inline with each product listing
  5. Full dashboard — Access the complete 4-tab analytics dashboard once all enhanced data has loaded

Start evaluating products immediately using the initial metrics, then dive deeper as the enhanced data becomes available.

Market Overview Metrics

At the top of the search results, you'll see aggregate market data to help you quickly assess market opportunity. These metrics are organized into four key areas:

Revenue Metrics

  • Total revenue across the market (30-day period), average revenue per product, and comparative stats for top-performing sellers vs. new entrants. Use this to gauge overall market size and competitive landscape.

Pricing & Competition

  • Average selling price and cost-per-click (CPC) for paid ads. Helps you understand profit potential and advertising costs in the market.

Product Performance

  • Average ratings, review counts, Best Sellers Rank (BSR), and listing age across all products. Indicates market maturity, customer satisfaction, and competition intensity.

Search & Demand

  • Search volume on Amazon and Google. Shows how many people are actively looking for products in this category and whether there's external (Google) interest you can capture.

Product-Level Metrics

Each product in the search results displays inline metrics in Seller Info and Sales Info overlays. Use these to identify promising products without opening individual listings.

Seller Info

  • Search Position — Where the product ranks in search results (1-48+)
  • Review Count — Total number of customer reviews
  • BSR (Best Sellers Rank) — Product's rank in its category; lower numbers indicate higher sales velocity
  • Seller Type — FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) or FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant)
  • Listing Age — How long the product has been listed on Amazon

Sales Info

  • Daily Units / Monthly Units — Estimated units sold per day and month
  • Daily Rev / Monthly Rev — Estimated revenue per day and month
  • Profit Per Unit — Estimated profit margin per sale after Amazon fees and estimated COGS
  • Sales Trend — Visual indicator (up/down arrows) showing sales trajectory over time
  • Physical Dimensions & Weight — Product size and shipping weight

Tips for Effective Use

  • Use Best Sellers pages for trend discovery — Search results show what's being searched, but Best Sellers pages show what's actually selling. Run the extension on both to compare intent vs. reality.

  • Sort Keywords tab by Purchase Rate — High search volume with low purchase rate = browsing traffic. Focus on keywords where searchers actually buy.

  • Cross-reference Suppliers tab with Alibaba directly — Use the extension to identify product opportunities, then verify supplier pricing and MOQ independently to catch better deals.

  • Compare the same keyword across multiple marketplaces — Search "yoga mat" on .com, .co.uk, and .de to find less saturated international markets for the same product.
